The Empowerment Ride 2016 is a 3600 mile cross country cycling ministry from LA to NYC. The mission of the Empowerment Ride is to bring healing to families suffering from the addiction of a loved while moving the addiction conversation out into the open.

The Empowerment Ride begins July 30, 2025 in Santa Monica, CA and ends in NYC on October 2, 2025 with key events scheduled at stops in Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Tulsa, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh and New York City. 100Pedals Executive Director and Chief Cyclist, Dave Cooke, will be riding his bicycle all 3600 miles of the route and is inviting cyclists to join him on all or part of the trip.

100Pedals will be making presentations at local TYR College Chapters along the route. According to Dave Cooke, “Transforming Youth Recovery College Chapters is a perfect partner for this cycling mission. We see these events as a special opportunity to offer inspiration to those in recovery, provide encouragement to their families, while celebrating the positive transitions being made to by these students to enjoy life, embrace adventure, and embrace hope on their journey.”

Programs for the Loved Ones of those Battling Addictions

Are you looking to better understand the struggles of addiction in the family?
Are you looking for powerful insights into dealing with the issues of addiction that are permeating all aspects of society?

Dave Cooke has the answers to your questions and concerns, and he is hungry to share them with you.

In fact, it is his life’s mission. Dave Cooke is the father of a son addicted to heroin. Like you, he suddenly found himself thrust into a state of confusion, heartache, and despair. And like all parents of addicts, he scrambled to find solid ground when addiction turned his world upside down.

In the process, he has developed several presentations for family members and concerned communities to learn more about the issue of addiction in our society. An internationally recognized speaker, Dave’s biblically driven presentations inspire with energy, commitment, and real solutions for troubled parents and a concerned community. “Thought-provoking” and “powerful” are just two of the descriptions his audiences often apply to his talks.
