The 100Pedals Mission
Providing support to parents dealing with the painful experiences of addiction in their families by help them discover their own personal recovery program and find hope, peace, and strength in the process.
When it comes to addiction there are two victims, the addict who battles with their disease and the families who struggle to understand, cope, and live a normal life. Many parents commit every ounce of love, time, energy in their quest to save, help, and cure their child to the point where they often have so little left to give themselves or to the point where it nearly destroys them. It is as if the addiction has taken control over two sets of lives.
100Pedals helps parents reclaim control and direction in their life before their child’s destructive, painful choices destroys and crushes them. 100Pedals provides parents with a path to their own recovery as they learn to cope with the powerful and destructive forces of addiction in their family.
In relating the experiences and lesson in my story - the 100Pedals journey - parents connect with and relate to the avalanche of emotions they live and experience in their addiction driven world. Like millions of other parents, I have been on this journey and continue to deal with these issues as a parent of an addicted child.
100Pedals programs have been created to:
- Provide a forum for sharing, grieving while finding hope and peace through these interactions:
- Build comfort and community in hearing and learning from another parent
- Realization parents are not alone with their pain, doubt, and struggle
- There are no clear answers but in every experience is a perspective and an idea
- Introduce parents to tools and resources for managing the chaos and help them reclaim their lives
- Challenge themselves to regain control, clarity, and commitment to living their life
- Understand that the two gifts they can give their child
- Unconditional love
- The powerful example of a path to recovery in how they manage their life
- Find peace in letting go of their desire to cure their child
- Receive direct access to the programs offered that have become my guiding principles for success
