There are two essential components to embracing responsibility.
First, we are here, at this moment and at this place in time, as a direct result of all of our previous choices, decisions, and actions. Regardless of what others may have done to influence or define the path in our lives, we are here solely because what did and decided. Our actions have brought us here. We are responsible for being here and there is nothing that we can do to change that reality. We are here because we are supposed to be here.
Second, if you don’t like where you are, you are entirely responsible for changing the direction or the path in your life. Just as you defined how you got here, you have the responsibility to define where you go from here.
