I have been receiving a great deal of positive pressure over the past few months to better organize my message, purpose, and plan for 100Pedals. Even though I am an executive sales professional by experiential background, I have to be honest with myself that I have been resistant to this activity. As is often the course, the more I resist taking action on something necessary and good, the more pressure is born on me to actually do it.
If you have been reading the tea leaves of my past few Facebook posts, the notion of faithful planning has resonated with me.
“Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow.” (Psalm 25:4 NLT)
“Trust in the words you write and the actions you take, for I am with you!”
Today, I was reading “Love Does” by Bob Goff. In Chapter 21 “Hearing Aid,” I was hit with another encouraging reminder to release my resistance and get busy on my plan.
“Add your whole life, your loves, your passions, and your interests together with what God says he wants you to be about and that’s your answer…We are God’s plan…Tell me about the God you love, tell me about what He has inspired uniquely in you, tell me about what you are going to do about it, and a plan for your life will pretty easy to figure from there.” (Love Does, Bob Goff, p. 143)
When I look at it that way, making a plan isn’t so difficult after all. If you don’t hear from me for a couple of days, you will know why. I have some exciting planning to do! My gratitude to those who persevered in love and pushed me forward. Peace and blessings.
